From the Lisbon Airport to Coimbra

Metro and train combination is the cheapest and easiest option. It takes about 2-2.5 hours (depending on the period of the day). First you take the Metro, follow the red line, from the Airport following the direction to S. Sebastião. Metro tickets are available in automatic machines. Leave the metro in the ORIENTE STATION, which has correspondence to the national railway. In the 1st Floor of the station you can find the railway ticket office. (Tickets can also be bought on-line at CP). Express trains to Coimbra "Alfa Train" or "Intercidades Train" are the best options. Ask for tickets to Coimbra-B. Arriving to Coimbra B we recommend taking a taxi or a bus to the city center.
